Lucky 13

We have reached 13 months, and lucky doesn't even begin to describe it. I am blessed to be this little girl's mama. She is every bit as ornery and head-strong as her daddy and I. She has more personality than I know what to do with!

January has brought about colder temps, which means we have been spending lots of time indoors. Zoe made out like a bandit at Christmas, so we have LOTS of new toys to play with. In fact, I recently went through them all, and thinned out a bit. She is still OBSESSED with music. I think it comes from her daddy…they watch music videos together every Saturday morning. She sings, dances, and plays lots of instruments. She got a ukulele from Santa this year, and a drum from mom and dad (in addition to all the instruments she got for her birthday!), and loves to play with them!

Our little girl is turning into such a little diva. She has been watching mama put on make-up, and
recently found my make up bag, emptied it, and attempted to put it on herself. She was rubbing the makeup brushes across her face and combing her hair when I walked in. Man, we are in for it.

She went for her 12 month check-up this month. This girl is still so little… She weighed 18lbs, 11oz (32% percentile); her height was 2ft, 4in (15%); and her head circumference was 18.11 (75%). Short, skinny, with a big head!

Here is what is new this month:
Favorite Thing to Do: Playing music!
Favorite Food: Mac n Cheese, or really ANYTHING with cheese! 
New This Month: Walking backward! Looks like the moon walk!
Growth: All 12 month clothes. The pants still don't fit her waist though!
Sleep: We are actually trying to get her into a sleep specialist. She has been having what we think are night terrors. :-(
Speaking: She says lots of things but hardly ever does anything on command (no baby tricks!). Some new ones are "Chicken" and "Lana."
Movement: Running and…CLIMBING! I caught her climbing on her toy box to get a book off the shelf the other day!
Behavior: She definitely has an attitude!
